TOP 3 TAKEAWAYS FROM MEXICO ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. We are an unfit society of people. Being in a bathing suit for an entire week, surrounded by other half naked bodies, it was nearly impossible to not feel a little self conscious. It's also impossible not to observe the fact that as a society we have become very unfit. I have talked about this at length in blog posts before, but its astounding the ratio of unfit:fit people you see in a community of people gathered from across the globe. I'm motivated to make an impact to reverse this trend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Mexico is a beautiful place. Laying on the beach watching the clouds roll past I had a thought: that sky looks beautiful and is available to all of us. My kids at home, me here, people on the other side of the world. When I got home, waking up to the amazingly colorful sunrise, I thought: we can find beauty no matter where we go, we just have to open our eyes to look for it. The takeaway, I want to see more of the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Mexico changed a major belief I've had for many years. I have developed a negative mindset towards traveling since a young kid. This trip reshaped my mindset. Read about this in much more detail in my new blog: HOW A MEXICAN VACATION CHANGED MY BELIEFS. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Link in my bio 💥💥💥 . . . #mexico#vacation#lifechanging#motivated#besttripever#beautifulworld#theworldisbeautiful#beachbody#fit#beliefs#mexicanvacation#blog#blogger#travel#beach#oceanvibes#oceanview#oceanlife#openoureyes
Your competition isn’t other people. Your competition is your procrastination. Your ego. The unhealthy food you’re consuming, the knowledge you neglect. The negative behavior you’re nurturing & your lack of creativity. Compete against that.
If I was an insta model i'd definitely caption this something original like "Living my best life" or "i like my coffee just how i like myself - dark, bitter and way too hot for you b***h" . . But I'm not so... "#views" should do😑

Honest, vulnerable post. (Also, excuse the disgustingly dirty scale.) I don't weigh myself very often (usually in the beginning days of hopping back on the workout wagon and usually immediately preceding that... you know, to see how far I've fallen off said wagon). Usually I can tell I've gained weight because of how my pants fit (or, more accurately, DON'T fit). And usually I know exactly WHY I've gained weight (99.9% food choices). --- I stopped drinking soda on Sunday. I had been indulging A LOT in the last few months, also eating a lot of fast food and chips (which, if you know me AT ALL, you know is a weakness of mine). (For the record, I don't drink, so I can't blame anything on alcohol.) --- I can confidently say that in August, I was in the best shape of my life. I was very happy with how I looked and, probably more importantly, FELT. --- Fast forward a few months. At my physical for school, I groaned when the doctor weighed me. (I was less than this pic at the time.) I am well within the recommended weight for my height (by a full 10 lbs). BUT. I PREFER to be at the lower end. (The doctor scoffed - LITERALLY SCOFFED - when I said I wanted to lose 10 lbs.) --- JUST by not drinking soda (and also no fast food or chips), I've lost 4 lbs in 3 days. Do I miss soda? YUP. That first cold, fizzy, "ahhhhhh" sip... 😭 but I also missed being able to zip up my pants. --- What small changes can YOU make to help you reach YOUR goals? Try it for a day. Then two days. Then a week. Next thing you know, you'll be making other small, necessary changes and then LOOKING for ways to help you get where you want to be. Experiment with what works for YOU. --- 💪🏻😎🔥 #keepgoing#sweatalltheshitout#wearworkoutclotheseveryday#fitness#health#sore#postworkoutselfie#goals#giveit110percent#accountability#strongissexy#motivation#onfire#dontquit#eyesontheprize#beachbody#liift4#fitover40#food#weight#TEAM1MR#reallife

I've been pretty sick over the last 2 months with my asthma and various things effecting my lungs so I haven't been able to continuously stay on my journey which for me is rough because I loved the work I had took so long to finally accomplish. But I've also learned that I need to take care of ME first in order to continue on life and be the best mom, and wife I can be. Because if I don't work nothing will come together. If my body is broken I can't do what I need to do for me to stay healthy. So I've been on steroids and yeah my face is puffy right now and I may have put on a few pounds since every thing. But my goals are coming together again. My health is getting on track, and next will be starting my routine again. If I can't excerise every day that's okay too as long as I eat clean and drink my daily shakes, and stay positive. I know that I am going to succeed and do anything I set my mind too. So no matter how hard life knocks you down or you feel like you can't do something remember you CAN and WILL succeed in anything you put your mind to. That YOU are worth it and your STRONGER then you realize. #Beachbody#TheStruggleisreal#Coachwifemomnannylife#YouCANdoanything#healthylifestyle#Positive#Yourstrongerthenyourealize
Wasn’t planning on getting sick to start the year but I did...so I had to adjust. I gave my body exactly what it needed, rest, some extra carbs, a lot of TLC. I could have pushed it...and in fact the first week I was sick I still got 4 workouts in. And that was a MISTAKE...I wasn’t listening to my body and what it needed was down time to fight the flu and get better. So I learned and readjusted and gave myself some grace while I was at it. I’ve been ON for years now (literally) and it’s foreign for me to be OFF. But I’m human and this was a great reminder for me that I’m not always in charge and sometimes need to read the writing on the wall and just take it for what it’s worth. It’s a good metaphor for life in general I believe. Being sick sucks but it was nice to just slow down a bit with EVERYTHING. It was also a great testament to how healthy I am in general and how my hard work can’t be undone with a little blip. 2 weeks off and I’m still cut, I still have a six pack, I didn’t gain a lb...I treat my body right and in return it is there for me when I need to fall back. I’m officially back this week, started a new lift round of 8 weeks and although I’m easing back into my max weight I’m mentally focused and determined. Feels good to be back!
