DOM PÉRIGNON RÓSE OENOTHEQUE 1988 🍾 From magnum. Pale salmon colour. Very complex nose with aromas of orchard fruit balanced with a lot of that leesy aged champagne funk. The palate is simply intense and complex with a panoply of tart red fruit flavours that would take forever to describe. A slight chalky component. Incredibly fresh and delicious. DOM PÉRIGNON P2 2000 🍾 Good bright color, lovely nut and brioche notes on the mid-weight nose, on the palate well developed and on the lighter and sweeter side for Dom Perignon, some ripe mousse notes and light cream tones- nicely evident but not to the scale of the greater vintages, good firm finish, I was not a fan of this wine when it was first released and I have to confess it has come out far better than I had expected. 🙏🍾🥂👏 From Mr @alavolee 🍾🙏
So that happened. Walking into my uncles basement to look at his wine collection(about 12 btls of old Bordeaux- not temperature controlled) I see what looks like a Dom foil. The ‘64 has been on my bucket list forever. A legendary vintage. What a treat to stumble upon it in the company of family. Still had bubbles- no oxidation. Wow. #domperignon
