Took this picture last week elbow deep in pancakes, but better late than never! Love doing life with these ladies! Just in the last week one has helped me navigate the WIC office with a toddler and an infant, one spent over an hour chatting in the driveway and one just happened to be grocery shopping at the same time. This weekend I had the joy of challenging my dear friend Jen to a Weekend Warrior FitBit Challenge.....and with both of us being competitive, we gave it our best!!! I went as far as telling my girlfriend I met for coffee that we had to do a walk and talk so I could get in my steps. I was lagging behind on Sunday, so I woke up at 5:30am and did a power walk outside for an hour to catch up. I did step touch while I was folding laundry and after every piece of laundry that I folded, I immediately put it away. I made a point to walk as much trash and recycling straight to my big bins outside rather than to put them in the bins inside and my house hasn't been this clean in a long time! She told me she was on her elliptical on and off all day yesterday and was questioned by her husband as to what the heck we were doing!!! My point being the following.... 1. find friends who challenge and support your growth and your goals (we both ended up being winners as we walked more than we normally would over a weekend.....and in the two days covered over 20 miles each! AWESOME) 2. If there is something that you truly want to achieve big or small, if it's important enough to you, YOU WILL FIND A WAY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN and your excuses will go away and the little voice inside your head that says 'I'm too tired' or 'you can't do this', 'you don't deserve this', you're not good enough'....You'll be able to tell those voices to quiet down, I'm busy making progress here! 3. It might mean that you have to press the limits and do things a little more creative, or a little crazy, but it's worth it! YOU'RE WORTH IT!!!
