Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is such an odd day, it feels like a Monday but it’s Tuesday 😮 I’ve been traveling, but now that I’m back home, I’m trying intermittent fasting! Anyone here practice IF?? I’m looking for some tips and advice 😊 so far it has been fine, but I get pretty hungry at the end of my fasting periods. Lunch yesterday was simple. Iceburg cucumbers tomato a olive oil lemon dressing 🍋 with a combination of hemp seeds and home made zaatar sprinkled on top. It’s on the plan for lunch again today. What’s for lunch today everyone?
Hello everyone 🖐🏽 . . This was my breakfast this morning. Wait a minute, lol - these look like your average cookie 🍪, but these chewy little cookies are chock full of healthy ingredients. You can eat a couple for breakfast or any time you’re craving a (healthy) snack... . . This cookie recipe contains: whole wheat flour, honey, ground flaxseed, rolled oats, unsweetened applesauce, and a few chocolate chips (who can resist)? I can eat chicken wings every day. 😂😂😂 My hubby and I used to go to @bwwings but their service is awful lately so I found a cheaper and better option. It’s 20 pieces of chicken wing. I bought 20 full chicken wings for $13, cut them in half so it gave me 40 pieces in total (20 drums, 20 flats). I divided them into 20-20 pieces and put one bag in the freezer. For $6.50 I had 20 pieces of chicken wings (bww’s large wings cost you $21 and only gives you 18 pieces 😩) Put the wings in a large ziplock bag, add 1tbsp of baking powder and 1 tsp Himalayan salt and shake it until well coated. Pour them into your air fryer, spray them with oil, set the frier to 250 for 15 minutes and shake it and spray it with oil every 5 minutes. When it’s done, set the air fryer to 400 and If you like them really crispy, fry them for 15 minutes. If you like soft, succulent and juicy wings, fry them for 8-10 minutes. In both cases shake it and spray it every 5 minutes. This time I made parmesan garlic wings. Place 1tbsp @kerrygoldusa salted butter in a plastic container big enough for 20 wings. Melt the butter in the container and add garlic powder, parmesan, fresh parsley and lemon juice to the melted butter. When wings are done add them to the melted butter mixture, close the top and shake it. This was us on Meat Free Monday!! We don't do it every week and it isn't always Monday but I've become much more mindful about how much meat we eat as a family and am trying to encourage everyone to be less focused on "the meat" (I'm talking about you husband...!!). I had a block of pastry to be used up, a selection of lovely ripe tomatoes and a beautiful goat/cow brie from @overthemoon and this is the result. Yum to eat, simple and quick to make. I served with a green salad from the garden and didn't receive any complaints....!! #winning

Lunch time yummms! Love all types of yogurt but absolutely hate the unnecessary added sugar 😪 lucky for me the lovely people I babysit for always have yogurt in stock that’s so yummy! Might have some avo toast with black pepper after this

Looking for a mash potato substitute? THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! 🤯 LOADED CAULIFLOWER 🤯 *This is a delicious substitute for any potato occasion* 👇🏻~Recipe below~👇🏻 Ingredients: 1 large head of Cauliflower cut into bite size pieces (approx 6 cups) 6-8 strips of bacon cooked and crumbled 6 tbsp. chopped Chives 1/2 cup Mayonnaise 1/2 cup Sour Cream 2 cups cheddar Cheese (I prefer a strong cheese so I use Old cheddar) Directions: Turn oven on to 425° In a large pot bring cauliflower to a boil. Cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain cauliflower and set aside to cool Combine 1 cup of cheddar cheese, 1/2 of the crumbled bacon, 1/2 of the chives, sour cream, Mayonnaise, and cauliflower and mix well. Place the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the rest cheese and bacon on top.
