➕ Nick Sutherland 41 Founder of Myndfit and mental health pracitioner Mornington Peninsula When and how often do you Meditate? No set practice i live a meditative life and do lots of meditative activities which for me reduces the amount of actual meditation i need to do. How long have you been meditating? A few years How it helps daily? Maintains a capacity for me to be present by reducing the amount of reactiveness to stimulus. Also helps me sleep better and to feel mentally fresh throughout the day (I’ll meditate between clients sometimes). How the practise has changed you? Much more equanimous. Have a history of anxiety and depression but now able to manage my emotional state much better and remain calm and composed. What or who inspired you to start or why you started? Natural attraction to it. Tried TM first which didn’t fit so went on a 10 day Vipassana retreat and loved it. What books , apps or other tools have helped your practice? None really. As I do guided meditation with clients I guess I just help myself.

Single arm shoulder press. With this variation I use the chest press machine and press straight up overhead. Again I stick to a convential military press or shoulder press when I start my shoulder work. I like to throw in something different as a finisher to really fatigue the shoulders. Mixing it up definitely makes training more fun.

WHO MOTIVATES YOU? ⚡️ Sometimes your motivation is right beside you. We often look at social media/influencers/celebrities/models for motivation, however we have no idea who they are, where they come from or the reality of their life, yet we relate them with ‘ultimate goals’ or find ourselves constantly comparing. __ I believe your most powerful ‘motivator’ should come from your circle of influence as you should know them back to front! Whether that be your children, partners, parents, extended family, friends or all of the above — find that person who motivates you and connect them to your why. In terms of training, living a nourishing but flexible lifestyle, whilst achieving phenomenal results, right here is one of my biggest motivators. From success, drive, discipline, health and the ‘want’ to be better however never giving up is something I use to motivate me on a daily basis. __ WHO is your motivator and why?

A life partner deserves a lifetime of care and love. It's very easy to take it for granted, and very difficult to make up for years of neglect and abuse. What is needed - and pays guaranteed rich dividends - are daily installments of timely nourishment, exercise, and rest. To BEET or not to BEET... That's the question i was asking myself when this pic was being snapped. 😋😂 (peep the juice on the right side) . . I think the best thing about these workout and health programs i've been doing is the nutrition aspects. 🥕🍌🍎🥦🥑🥓🍳 I get grocery lists, recipes, meal plans, and even a suggested (not mandatory) schedule for my eating. . . Our grocery bill used to be $150 or more (usually more... 😖) but now we can get some good things that will last us a good while and make us great meals, and walk out paying under $100. And that's for 2 young adults who very much enjoy snacking and food! 🤷🏻♀️ . . Shout out to my mans for learning some instagram-picture-taking skills in like less than 24 hours so i can officially start having him take my photos EVERYWHERE! 😂😍💖
Essential oil education💃🏽. Do you want to know why we only use therapeutic grade essential oils in our products? With us, beauty and health doesn’t have to be at the expensed the other👈🏻💁🏻♀️. . . Shop online at simplygonatural.com👈🏻👌. . . . Read on😘👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼. . Posted @withrepost • @essentially_joilful Sharing my top five must have oils for the highly sensitive. These are great options for those that feel overwhelmed by life and those that feel others emotions deeply and need good boundaries and renewal. . 🔹Lavender: Relaxing. Lavender aids verbal expression and addresses a deep fear of being seen and heard. 🔹Bergamot: Awakening. Bergamot is wonderful for those who feel down and hopeless. It awakens the soul to hope and offers courage to share the inner self. 🔹Roman Chamomile: Sleep Support. Roman Chamomile softens the personality, easing the overactive ego-mind. It restores one’s confidence to do what they came to this earth to do. 🔹Marjoram: Moving past trauma. Those in need of Marjoram oil most likely use protective coping strategies unintentionally. Deep down they desire the intimate connection they subconsciously sabotage. 🔹Vetiver: Centering. Vetiver oil assists in becoming more rooted in life. Life can scatter one’s energy and cause one to feel split between different priorities, people, and activities. Vetiver brings the individual back down to earth. . Using these oils aromatically, over the heart and in the elbow creases can give you relief and rest from circumstances and thoughts you might find yourself in. . . . . . . .#essentialoils#healthyliving#healthylivingtips#healthylivingjourney#healthychoicesmatter#healthy#healthyhair#healthyhairtips#selfcare#selflove#healthyyou#healthy2019#healthgoals#healthyhairjourney#amazingnaturalhair#naturalhair#doyou#healthyskin#healthyskincare#naturalbeautyproducts#naturalbeauty
Because blondes do it better right? 😉😉 Having a sense of belonging is everything for a lot of people. For me it means having a support group for accountability. A crew to celebrate your successes with. A group of people to be there through your endeavours and struggles. And just a bunch of wild chicks and dudes who just want to squeeze every last drop out of life! Couldn’t have dreamt of being a part of a more crazy, fun loving, beautifully hearted and supportive environment to grow in!

After a lovely indulgent wkend indoors with my favourite men, im happy to b fasting again. There is comfort in knowing i dont have guilty feelings for the things i ate this past wkend. So often people feel dreadful and completely ashamed if they had an indulgent day or heaven forbid a wkend. The best advice i have for anyone who suffers from this is "theres a time for feasting and theres a time for fasting" - Dr Jason Fung 👌 Pick up and carry on. Move forward. Slow progress is still progress 💪Do not do the same thing every wkend but enjoy life's moments as they come around. Keeping my suhoor (pre-fasting) meal simple with some staples. Scrambled eggs - cucumber - tomato - beef sajouk (a type of cured salami). I also had a cup of that ginger drink with lemon i made yesterday and 2 glasses of water with my supplements. 2 meals a day spaced 12 hours apart is a good starting point for anyone who wants to get into fasting for health. My main aim is healing and weightloss as a byproduct. So far im doing good on the healing, i think...the weightloss is really slow, like trickling slow. Never assume u know exactly wot anyone else is making thru. We each have our struggles and demons. We each fight our fight to the best of our ability and wot we know and we each r responsible for how much time, effort and heart we put into our own journey. Wishing u all a spectacular Sunday. Creating Healthy Habits: Setting YOUR goals.... for YOUR life! . Studies show that over 80% of New Years Resolutions Gail by February! . Why? . Well it’s probably got something to do with everyone jumping on gym membership sales, fad diets or any other gimmick that gets put in front of them. . We’ve been there too, don’t you worry! . But why do people fail? Well! Let’s just say, if I didn’t go to the gym regularly in December.... I’m not going to magically maintain going in January, Feb and well into the year. . Why? . Because it doesn’t fit into my life... if it did, I’d be doing it already. Or something similar. . The solution? . Create goals that support or enhance your life that don’t require a whole shift in your being! Make them small, easily worked into your life and meaningful :)
Here is something that is amazing about my program. Whether someone has to lose 10 lbs, 50 lbs, 100 lbs, or 200 lbs, it's possible! The way that we change our bodies and our minds is through intentional habit change and doing the hard heart work to figure out how we ended up in this place to start. Christine's story: "I was always the girl who was a little bigger than everyone else ...high school then college. I gained the freshman 15 and it just kept going from there ...i got married and had kids and my weight kept going up. Finally almost 2 years ago i saw a friends husband losing all kinds of weight. I asked how he had done it and was introduced to our plan. I waited about 3 months before starting in late June 2017. I was shocked at how easy it was . I absolutely love the new me ....less weight, less inches, more energy, better sleep ! I lost 100 pounds in 10 months and now i have lost 120 pounds! I am still on plan as i hope to lose a little more ! I have struggled and strayed but i have learned new habits ....habits that will keep me from going back to where i was before !! 💚Self love wins!" #noselfdoubt#icanguideyou#bettertogether#becoming#motivateyourself#transformation#weightlosstransformation#weightlossjourney#weightlossmotivation#healthylifestyle#health#healthgoals#2019goals#wecandoit#mytribe#healthwarriors
Ask me what I do on Friday and Saturday nights. : I put myself first. I make my goals a priority. I self-reflect, journal and read. Even when I lay on the couch and I’m super cozy, I force myself to get up and workout. : I know I’m not gonna get where I’ve always wanted to be by doing what I’ve always done. 💁🏼♀️ : Do I drink, eat crab dip and get dessert? Yeah occasionally. But I order a salad instead of fries, eat that first, and chug water before I drink. Filling up on the healthy stuff before the not-so-healthy. I’m confident knowing that I can still have those types of meals when I’m fueling my body with top nutrition the rest of the day. : And this weekend, there’s a savings of $29-$58 so it’s a great time to try it out!🌿
